The freedom of the unknown

So many times we can worry about making a wrong decision or that things aren’t going the way they should. It’s so easy to beat yourself up when a choice didn’t work out as planned. Getting frustrated or angry when things go wrong.

The key to a more joyful life in these situations is realizing that you don’t know what’s best. Yeah, you might be bummed out that you missed the train, but perhaps you were not supposed to be on it. Just maybe it’s better that you missed that one, because now you’re meeting someone else on the next train or it leads you to take a different route.
Maybe you actually made a mistake and could have done something different. Still that’s not a loss, because you can take a lesson from it. It could prevent you from making a bigger error along the way. You don’t know what’s ahead of you, the things you’re now dealing with are preparing you for the future.
So, next time you think that things should have done different, remind yourself that you don’t know. Maybe something a lot better is coming out of this.
