If you’re friends with Matt and Nancy, there is a good chance that you’re also a Disney fan. Nancy works at Disneyland and is there every week, which comes with the benefit that from time to time she can also take people with her. I consider myself lucky to be her friend and get too share the fun. We’ve been going to Disneyland together several times through the years and a day there with Matt and Nancy is always a lot of fun. When you’re at Disneyland you forget that you’re a grown up and can just play and have fun. Even only walking around there is already great, but of course the rides are also super exciting. We get a lightning pass which allows you to skip several lines, so we get to do more. We start with the Monsters Inc ride, which makes me wanna watch the movies again some time. It’s a warm day again today, so we also enjoy the water rides which help to cool off a bit. At Disneyland it’s really true that time is flying when you’re having fun. The day goes by a lot faster than I’d like, but we continue having fun even when it gets dark. One of my favorite places we visit today is Adventureland Treehouse which is an enormous tree with many rooms build in it, like a family is living there. I climb the tree by myself while Matt and Nancy stay at the ground. I get that, because we already walked a lot today, but that doesn’t stop me from climbing the stairs and having a fun time high up in the tree. In the evening we get to watch the fireworks show above the castle which is absolutely amazing. The show is always impressive, but it is extra long today. I think that’s because of Disneyland’s 70th birthday. Words or pictures don’t do justice to how mesmerizing the show is. I’m thankful to be able to watch it while standing here with my two Disney friends. Around 11pm it’s time to go home, because on Sunday nights the park closes an hour before midnight, a bit earlier than normal. My feet are tired of walking the whole day, but I’m soaring as we slowly make our way back to the parking lot. What a fantastic day at the end of my vacation.
