I had planned on going on a road trip again tomorrow, but since I’m enjoying my time in this Airbnb so much, I think that I’d like to stay another day. I text my host and ask if I can extend with one day. That’s not a problem and also the booking of the rental car is easily changed for a day later. This will give me one more day to work and relax in San Diego.
City trail and farmers market
This morning I talk with a few people back home and hearing all about the grey weather and stuff doesn’t make me to eager to go back in a few weeks. At the moment I feel like I could stay here a lot longer, but my savings account would disagree with that idea. It’s probably good to go back at some point.
Living the live of a digital nomad
It’s another workday today here in San Diego. That’s part of being a modern nomad. Business has to keep going, so I can pay for the vacation.
Work in the morning, fun in the afternoon
I wake up around 4am, way before the alarm clock. Most times I like it when that happens. It gives me some more time to begin the day in a relaxed way and to start work early.
Back to San Diego
Today I’ve planned to drive back to San Diego, because I have booked an Airbnb for the coming week and have to return the rental car tomorrow. Interestingly enough I’m not too excited about going back. I loved living in San Diego for a few weeks, but after all the adventures of this mini road trip, I feel like keeping on traveling.
Wonderful time at the Warner Bros. Studios
This morning I drive to Warner Bros. Studios once again, because one of the guides told me yesterday that I might come back today and that someone can show me more of the Stars Hollow set. It wasn’t for certain yet, so I’m a bit nervous, but when I arrive I see the friendly same lady as yesterday.
Back in Hollywood
I don’t feel like working much this morning, so I continue driving early. I follow the Highway 1 along the coast. Pacific Highway 1 is in my opinion one of the most beautiful drives in the US.
A day in Santa Barbara
I enjoy the morning at the hotel, because they have a comfortabel check-out time of 12pm. That gives me enough time for some work, breakfast and a last swim in the pool. I decide to drive down to Santa Barbara which is about halfway back to LA and see there if I’ll continue driving or find a hotel in that beach town.
Ocean escape
The hotel I’m staying at now is a beautiful spot. It’s just between two towns and is right at the ocean. There is a nice swimming pool and jacuzzi outside and the room is quite large and has everything I need.
Back to the ocean
The hotel I’m staying at is really nice. It’s called Historic Holiday hotel and it feels very old and authentic. In the morning I have a view of the Hollywood sign as I requested for during check in.
